The BYU Football Prediction Contest is now in its 28th year. Several years ago Al Harris took a well-deserved break from his BYU Football prediction contest. Not wanting to discontinue a 21-year tradition on CougarNet, I took over running the contest, with identical rules as set up by Al.
This contest, for members and friends of the Cougar-Net mailing list (and a few others that are BYU fans that wish to join us in this contest), is in its twenty-seventh year. The participants of this contest predict the score for the BYU Cougar football game each week that BYU plays. The winner each week is determined by a formula that takes into account how close each pick is from the actual team scores, and especially the point spread.
